How the 14-day free trial works

The reminder gives the date of the first payment and a link to cancel.

Two computers: Solo + office PC
Solo + office PC is $29 a month or $290 a year for two Windows computers sharing one set of books, kept in a folder in your own OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox. One person works at a time; the other computer picks up the changes. Your books are never sent to us.
There's no free trial on this plan; it's billed from day one. To try it first, start on the Solo trial, then choose Settings › Licence › Upgrade to 2 computers in the app. Stripe pro-rates the difference.
Refunds, cancelling and when a plan ends
14-day refund on your first payment
If SmokoBooks isn't right for you, email admin@aenetworks.com.au within 14 days of your first payment and we refund it in full.
Cancel any time
Cancel from the Manage subscription page, or with the Cancel plan button in the app, which opens Stripe's billing page. SmokoBooks keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, and no further payments are taken.
If your subscription ends
If your subscription ends, the app locks. Your PDFs, data file and daily backups stay on your PC — export the Excel workbook before your plan ends. The workbook is in Settings › Backup and data › Export Excel workbook. Nothing is deleted while the app is locked.
If a payment fails
Stripe retries it and emails you, and your key keeps working for a short grace period. Update your card from the Manage subscription page or the app.

What you need
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. No Mac or phone version.
- Internet to activate your key and for a daily licence check. Offline, it keeps working for 14 days.
- The installer is about 120 MB. It installs for your Windows user, so no admin rights are needed.
- The installer isn't code-signed yet. If SmartScreen warns you, choose More info › Run anyway.
The current version is 1.5.2. The installer is on the download page.
What it doesn't do
- No payroll and no bank feeds.
- It doesn't lodge BAS or tax returns. It gives you the figures to lodge.
- No inventory or stock tracking.
- One person at a time, even on two computers.
- No importer from Xero, MYOB or a spreadsheet.
- Up to 7 item lines on a quote, 8 on an invoice and 6 on a receipt.

Pricing questions
How much does SmokoBooks cost?
Solo is $19 a month or $190 a year for one computer. Solo + office PC is $29 a month or $290 a year for two computers sharing one set of books. Both plans have every feature.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, 14 days on the Solo plan. You add a card on Stripe's secure page, but nothing is charged until the trial ends. We email you three days before it ends, and cancelling before then costs nothing.
Do you charge GST?
No. AENETWORKS is not registered for GST, so no GST is charged. Prices are in Australian dollars.
Can I start on Solo and add a second computer later?
Yes. In the app, choose Settings › Licence › Upgrade to 2 computers. Stripe's billing page opens, you confirm the change and Stripe pro-rates the difference. Then, in Settings › Data folder, choose Move books to a shared folder (OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox), and on the second computer choose Join a shared folder.
What happens to my books if I cancel?
SmokoBooks keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for. If your subscription ends, the app locks. Your PDFs, data file and daily backups stay on your PC — export the Excel workbook before your plan ends. Nothing is deleted while the app is locked.
Can I move SmokoBooks to a new computer?
Yes. Export a backup, then choose Settings › Licence › Deactivate on this computer. On the new one, enter the same key and use Import backup. If the old computer has died, email us and we release the key.
